Great location but needs cleaning
Super convenient spot, just a quick 10-min walk to where we needed to go. Staff was friendly too! The bar area was chill for a nightcap but the room was a mess—stains on bedding, hair in the shower. No AC made it too hot. Got our bags stored, but check-in took way longer than expected.

the holiday inn express offered a good location, making it easy to explore. breakfast was plentiful, although it could’ve been organized better. notably, the staff was attentive, ensuring there was ample food available. one of the things that stood out for me was the spaciousness of the breakfast area, allowing you to enjoy your meal comfortably.
the breakfast layout felt a bit chaotic, which could be improved.

Good spot for families
We stayed for a night and had a pretty good time. Location was great, easy walk to shops. The sofa bed was made comfy for the kids after I asked. The late-night staff were super nice! Breakfast was okay, but ran out of food during peak time, which was a bummer.

great spot near the museum and piccadilly gardens
I loved staying here because it’s such a short walk to both the Manchester Museum and the beautiful Piccadilly Gardens, making my city strolls incredibly enjoyable and convenient. the staff were also lovely and the breakfast experience was enhanced by chatting with the general manager, who truly cares about the team and the hotel atmosphere.

The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the surrounding attractions and access public transport. The breakfast offered decent variety, including gluten-free options, which is a nice touch for those with dietary restrictions.
There were several quirks during the stay. The air conditioning struggled to maintain a comfortable temperature, making the nights a bit uncomfortable. The shower's drainage was slow, which could be a nuisance for those who appreciate a quick rinse after a long day. not having a plug in the sink added to minor frustrations during the stay.

The location is fantastic, particularly if you're near the university, and the air conditioning worked well, a relief during our two-night stay. Unfortunately, the room lacked a hairdryer, but the staff responded promptly and cheerfully delivered a new one. The breakfast selection was also lacking. every morning we had to request bread and milk as the supply couldn't keep up with demand, even with a small crowd in the dining area.

We enjoyed our stay, especially the location near shopping and dining, which was perfect for our family outings. The staff was friendly, and the room was clean and spacious enough for us to relax after exploring all day. Great shower too!
My kids wished there were more tables available during breakfast hours for families. It was a bit cramped, making eating a little tricky.

We really enjoyed our stay! The breakfast was diverse and delicious, and the shower had such great water pressure. The set-up was cozy, but the decor differed slightly from what we saw online, making it feel more lived-in. I'd definitely choose this place again!
